NAIOP SoCal, the leading voice for commercial real estate in Southern California, is pleased that Howard Schwimmer will be the third inductee into its Hall of Fame.
Mr. Schwimmer serves as Rexford Industrial's Co-Chief Executive Officer and on our Board of Directors since July 2013. Mr. Schwimmer has served as Co-Founder and Senior Managing Partner of our predecessor business and President of Rexford Industrial Realty & Management Inc. since December 2001. From May 1983 until November 2001, Mr. Schwimmer, a licensed California real estate broker, served at various times as manager, executive vice president and broker of record for DAUM Commercial Real Estate, one of California’s oldest industrial brokerage companies. Mr. Schwimmer’s thirty-seven-year professional career has been dedicated entirely and exclusively to Southern California infill industrial real estate, including its acquisition, value-add improvement, management, sales, leasing and disposition.
Mr. Schwimmer has experience forming real estate investment companies, managing real estate brokerage offices, serving as a real estate brokerage company board member and acquiring, repositioning, developing, leasing, selling and adding value to over forty million square feet of industrial properties in Southern California. Mr. Schwimmer received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in 1983 where he majored in business with an emphasis in real estate finance and development. Mr. Schwimmer serves on the USC Lusk Center Real Estate Leadership Council, is A Board Member of USC Hillel, and is the Allocation Committee Chair of the Los Angeles Jewish Federation, Real Estate Principals Organization.

President of the Greater Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire regions for CBRE, the leading commercial real estate services company in the world, Horne leads the strategic direction and performance of the firm’s Advisory Services business, which includes Advisory & Transaction Services, Asset Services, Capital Markets, Local Project Management and Valuations. Having worked with the firm for over 35 years, he is passionate about collaboration and actively promotes the integration of multiple disciplines to ensure well-conceived, strategic solutions for complex client assignments. This led him to become an early adopter and champion for workplace transformation, including Workplace Strategy, Experience Consulting, Change Management, and Occupancy Management.
As an active leader in the Los Angeles community, Horne regularly lends his voice, experience, and time to help create meaningful solutions for business and social issues, including the complex challenges regarding the city’s homelessness crisis. He is both passionate and compassionate when it comes to reducing homelessness and is an advocate for the affordable housing community in Los Angeles. Horne is the Co-Chair for Central City Association (CCA) of Los Angeles supporting its Homelessness Initiative and is a past-chairman of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, and the LA Business Council.

Ed Roski

NAIOP SoCal, the leading voice for commercial real estate in Southern California, is pleased that Ed Roski will be the first inductee into its Hall of Fame. Ed is president and chairman of the board of Majestic Realty Co., one of the nation’s largest privately-held development firms.
Founded in 1948, Majestic Realty has a portfolio of more than 82 million square feet of office, retail, hospitality and warehouse/logistics distribution facilities with offices across the United States. Recognized by his peers for his real estate success, Roski is a visionary who co-developed the Staples Center (now Crypto.com Arena), a landmark that transformed downtown Los Angeles. Roski’s impact on our region extends well beyond his real estate success. He is a true leader, serving on numerous civic and philanthropic boards, personally committing his time and resources throughout the basin.
Freedom is very important to Ed and he served as an officer in the Marines. He founded the Land of the Free Foundation and Majestic Realty Foundation as ways to give back. The Land of the Free Foundation supports the men and women in our Armed Forces whose sacrifice and dedication have ensured our way of life. The Land of the Free Foundation supports a variety of programs that help military personnel make the difficult transition to civilian life. The Majestic Realty Foundation provides grants and other support to charitable community partners that work in the areas of youth, family, education, violence prevention and health in the communities where Majestic Realty Co. does business.
